You Matter Too.
Taking care of yourself is not selfish—it is an important part of maintaining emotional wellness, managing stress, and being able to show up for the people and responsibilities that matter to you. The Self-Care & Emotional Wellness Workshop helps participants recognize signs of stress and burnout, understand their emotional needs, develop healthy coping strategies, and create realistic self-care practices that can actually fit into everyday life.

Self-care is often presented as something extra we should do when we have enough time. In reality, emotional wellness is influenced by the small choices, routines, boundaries, relationships, and coping strategies we use every day.
Work, school, caregiving, parenting, relationships, recovery, financial pressures, trauma, and everyday responsibilities can leave people feeling physically and emotionally drained. When stress continues without enough opportunities for recovery, it can affect concentration, communication, relationships, motivation, decision-making, and overall well-being.
The Self-Care & Emotional Wellness Workshop helps participants move beyond the idea that self-care is simply relaxation or occasional treats. Instead, participants explore practical strategies for recognizing their needs, managing stress, protecting their energy, establishing healthier boundaries, and creating routines that support emotional wellness.
Through interactive discussions, self-reflection exercises, wellness activities, and practical planning tools, participants identify what drains them, what restores them, and what realistic changes they can make in their everyday lives.
This workshop can be customized for schools, colleges, workplaces, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, recovery programs, reentry programs, caregivers, community organizations, faith-based organizations, and support groups.
Participants will learn how to:
Self-care looks different for everyone. A healthcare professional experiencing workplace stress may have very different needs from a college student, caregiver, individual in recovery, or community member.
That's why the Self-Care & Emotional Wellness Workshop can be customized based on your audience, organization, available time, and desired learning outcomes.

Many people wait until they are completely overwhelmed before giving themselves permission to slow down.
Self-care is often misunderstood as something indulgent, expensive, or optional. But meaningful self-care can be much simpler.
Sometimes self-care means getting enough rest. Sometimes it means asking for help, setting a boundary, taking a break, creating structure, attending an appointment, connecting with supportive people, or recognizing that something in your life needs to change.
Emotional wellness also does not mean being happy all the time.
It means developing greater awareness of your emotions, understanding what affects your well-being, and having healthy strategies available when life becomes difficult.
The Self-Care & Emotional Wellness Workshop helps participants identify realistic ways to care for themselves without creating another impossible list of things they feel obligated to accomplish.
At The Jane Doe Foundation, we believe taking care of yourself is not about ignoring responsibilities. It's about creating the stability and emotional resources needed to navigate them.
