Who Are You Beyond What You've Been Through?
Our experiences can shape us, but they do not have to define us. The Identity & Self-Worth Workshop is an interactive, trauma-informed experience designed to help participants explore identity, challenge negative self-beliefs, recognize their strengths, and develop greater confidence, self-respect, and a healthier sense of self.

Our sense of identity develops through our experiences, relationships, environments, successes, struggles, and the messages we receive from others. Trauma, abuse, addiction, rejection, bullying, unhealthy relationships, incarceration, and other difficult experiences can sometimes leave people questioning their worth or defining themselves by what has happened to them.
The Identity & Self-Worth Workshop helps participants separate their experiences from their identity while exploring the beliefs, relationships, and experiences that have influenced how they see themselves.
Through interactive discussions, guided reflection, strengths-based activities, and practical exercises, participants learn to recognize negative self-talk, challenge limiting beliefs, identify personal strengths, develop healthier self-esteem, and begin creating an identity based on their own values, goals, and potential.
This workshop does not tell participants who they should become. Instead, it provides tools that encourage self-discovery, confidence, personal growth, and the freedom to recognize that a difficult chapter does not have to define an entire story.
This workshop can be customized for schools, colleges, recovery programs, reentry programs, community organizations, nonprofits, workplaces, victim advocacy organizations, faith-based organizations, and support groups.
Participants will learn how to:
We understand that identity and self-worth can look different depending on a person's age, experiences, environment, and stage of life. That's why the Identity & Self-Worth Workshop can be customized to meet your audience's needs, available time, and desired learning outcomes.
Whether you're looking for a brief personal development presentation, an interactive workshop, or a multi-session educational series, we'll create an engaging experience that encourages participants to recognize their strengths and develop a healthier relationship with themselves.

The multi-session format allows participants to explore identity and self-worth more deeply over time. Participants complete reflection exercises, identify strengths and values, challenge unhealthy thought patterns, build confidence, and develop a clearer vision of who they want to become.
Content can be customized for students, adults, individuals in recovery, returning citizens, survivors, workplaces, colleges, nonprofits, faith communities, and other organizations. Activities, examples, discussions, and learning objectives are adapted to make the experience relevant to each audience.
How people see themselves can influence the choices they make, the relationships they accept, the opportunities they pursue, and what they believe is possible for their future.
Unfortunately, difficult experiences can sometimes become labels.
A person may begin seeing themselves as their addiction, their trauma, their mistakes, their past relationships, their incarceration, their failures, or the hurtful things other people have said about them.
But an experience is something that happened. It is not an identity.
The Identity & Self-Worth Workshop helps participants examine the messages they have internalized and begin replacing harmful labels with a more balanced understanding of themselves.
Participants are encouraged to recognize their strengths, values, accomplishments, resilience, and potential while developing practical strategies for healthier self-talk and greater confidence.
At The Jane Doe Foundation, we believe people deserve the opportunity to grow beyond the circumstances and experiences that have shaped them.
